With the discussion over telephone of Mr. Mizanur Rahman, it is recognized that the insect is stink bug in litchi cv China-3 in Gaibandha. Stink bug in litchi is new in Bangladesh. Mechanical control: Hand picking of stink bug (Gandhi) and killing. Chemical control: Quinalphos 25 EC 2 ml/L (Kinalux 2ml/L) or Emamectin benzoate 2ml/L (Proclem 2 ml/L).
As stink bug in litchi is new in Bangladesh. So, it must be controlled. When there is no fruit in plant, it will be easy to destroy with year round management practices. Thanks. Dr. Jillur. Mobile-01715082555.
